Friday, Christopher had to work, so Emily and I went out to Venice Beach for a long stroll among the shops and street performers. I even got drafted into a glass walkers show! He wasn't so much a glass walker as much as he was a creepy guy with long nails that had a great talent at drawing out 15 seconds of glass walking into a 20 minute show!
Once Christopher got off work, we went out to eat at a very nice sushi restaurant. It was my first time eating sushi! It wasn't bad, but I'm not sure how much I will eat it in the future. ;-) We got saki for me to try to. It was so much fun!
After dinner, we went to a pier, which was basically a bunch of bars and restaurants along a real pier right next to the beach. That was so neat, and the weather was so nice. We even went for a nice romp in the beach when we needed a break from the indoors! When we got back to the apartment, we went for an evening swim and dip in the jacuzzi. It was lovely!
Saturday we went for a drive...a long drive...while trying to find the zoo. Instead, we ended up in Hollywood. :-) We went to a really neat shopping area, all outside of course, and ate at a yummy french crepe place. Then we saw a few of the typical touristy things on the Hollywood strip. Very neat!
My last day there, we decided to just relax out by the pool. We spent most of the day out there, and Christopher and Emily grilled up a DELICIOUS lunch! It was the perfect last day, especially since we didn't have to get out in the traffic at all!
