Hamilton Family Reunion 2009

Last weekend was our big ole family reunion at Rough River State Park, KY. It was a three-day extravaganza since there was just too much fun to be had to fit into one day. At its peak, there were 90 people, from 4 generations back. Everything was extremely well organized and planned, and I think it's safe to say that everyone in attendance had a fantastic time!

Our name tags were designated by color for which branch we descended from and generation number. The reunion was from Granddad's grandparents (1st gen) down to the current babies (5th generation). Fives representin!

Enjoying the nice evening with a little cornhole, custom built and provided by my cuz.

Before dinner, we were given an excellent show by my Uncle (Great) of PG43, with supporting bandmembers Aunt Jackie and Chad (first cousin, once removed). There's a cute cameo part of the way in.

Granddaddy sharing stories about his grandparents. We Hamilton's are such story-tellers!

All of the "threes" with Great Great Aunt Mary Helen. That's right--that's only ONE of the generations present. I'm waiting to get the picture of EVERYONE who was there on Saturday.

After church on Sunday, we visited the grave yard, where Mom is buried with the deceased matriarchs and patriarchs of the Hamilton family. We had a nice lunch on Sunday at Doe Run Inn, and again, the weather was beautiful and gave us a chance to explore the grounds a bit. (Below is a "four" holding his "five", the second youngest of the "fives")
