Phew

Lately I have not been in the mood to write; this seems to happen when something very challenging is going on in my life because the more people I tell, the more people I have to keep updated, and the more questions I have to answer. However, it is hard to answer questions when I don't have the answers myself.

As you may or may not know, I have been dealing with a substantial amount of pain for the last three months on my left side. Long story short, after every test in the book, numerous doctor visits, and an emotional roller coaster to rival any other I've had in my life, I was finally pointed in the right direction.

Upon my first visit to the physical therapist, she was 100% convinced (finally!) that I have a temporary muscoloskeletal disorder due to a pelvis misalignment. Apparently, this is rather common and can be triggered by something as small as a funny step or sleeping funny. Mine was not caught earlier because I also had an ovarian cyst rupture, which made it difficult to diagnose the current issue. Who knew there were two things happening inside me at the same time and in the same location? Hence the roller coaster.

Since all the bones and muscles are connected on the left side, my pain was gradually spreading and escalating. After my first PT visit, I was on the road to recovery! Last week was the first time I had not hurt in three months. I forgot what it was like to live without pain, and I enjoyed it very much. I'm going to PT twice a week to work on realigning and restrengthening, with the hopes of progressing enough to take the visits down to once a week.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers during the last three months as we've figured this all out!
