In case you hadn't already heard...
I went in for my annual health check-up last week, and my doctor found some unusual lumps. He referred me to a radiologist to get an ultrasound of my chest. They found one large tumor on the right (5cm in diameter) and two little tumors on the left. The tumors appear to be benign, but the large one has to be removed because of the pain and discomfort it is causing. The radiologist assured me that this is actually pretty typical in young women, and he had seen a young gal the same morning I was in his office who had exactly the same thing.
I have a consultation appointment tomorrow afternoon to hear what the surgeon has to say, and I will hopefully get the surgery scheduled that day. As I'm told by the radiologist, the procedure should be simple, outpatient surgery that only uses local anesthesia.
We will call with updates as soon as we have any.
