I know it's been a while, so here's what's been happening with the hubby and I...
We bought bikes! For anyone wanting to buy a bike, I would highly recommend watching for end-of-summer sales right now. When all was said and done, we basically got two bikes for the price of one at Dick's Sporting Goods. Great deal! We don't have a lot of bike trails around here, but they are putting in more sidewalks outside the neighborhood, and we really like to go exploring along all the farmland behind our neighborhood. It's so nice coming home and being able to relax on a bike ride with my hubby.
We went to Kentucky a couple weekends ago to see Pat, who was in town for a few days with Harold, and other family. However, when I woke up at the farm on Saturday, I wasn't feeling too well, so we had to just pack up and head home instead of tailgating at the UK game. I was pretty upset because it was going to be a lot of fun, and there was going to be a lot of family there!
All was well since we went BACK to the farm the next weekend since it was Mom's birthday on Sunday, 9/21. It's always nice getting to visit where she was laid to rest.
On her actual birthday, dad and I spent the day together and went downtown to the new Colts stadium. We had SUCH a great time, and the stadium was so beautiful. We're going back for the December 14th game, and Steven will be joining us for that one!
This weekend, Steven and I went to the high school football game where he teaches. I was actually looking forward to seeing the team because they are state champs for I don't know how many years, and the halftime score was evidence of that: 40-0 at the half! We're going next weekend, too, since it's homecoming.
Today, we took dad out to lunch at Hard Rock Cafe for his birthday. He turned 43 for the second time, but you don't want to know how many years he was 42! :-) After a delicious lunch, we walked the beautiful canal downtown. It was a very beautiful day and a nice time with the fam.
Work is still going well. There is no more paint up. We'll keep you posted! :-)
