MATHCOUNTS

Woot woot! As you may or may not know, I'm the faculty sponsor of our math club at school with my friend Stacy. We cosponsor MATHCOUNTS, an after-school club where we get together and work out challenging and strategic math problems and eventually trim up the club to make a team that goes to competitions. I missed my first day of school a couple weeks ago to accompany our team to Indianapolis for the regional MATHCOUNTS competition! Our school placed fourth out of almost 20 (exact number is fuzzy due to some schools being able to unattend due to delays from weather conditions). Fourth is no number one (which another Carmel Clay middle school earned), but it is good enough to make us eligible for the state competition on March 14 at Purdue! For all you nerds out there, I know you're aware that March 14 is the amazing and unforgettable PI DAY!!!!!!!!! :-)
