On Saturday, Steph cashed in on her thank-you present for throwing my baby shower over the summer: We went to a Wine and Canvas event, which happened to be the first event at their new studio, so there were lots of fun things and deals happening. This was Steph's first Wine and Canvas, but she's a pro now. :-)
This one's mine; I think it's so neat how the project progresses, and I will admit that this one was probably a tough first one for Steph! Hahaha. It was quite complicated, and the artist had to demonstrate quite quickly...
Dad asked if it's hard to paint after you've had a lot of wine, to which I replied, "Nope, just harder to stay on the stool." Truth.
One of the things they did since it was their studio opening was a whole bunch of drawings. I NEVER win ANYTHING, but my number was drawn to pick out a free piece of art to take home! Yay me! I grabbed this clean, simple piece for our bedroom.
Fin!
Even though lots of fun things happened this weekend, Sunday was the big day!! I was so excited for my little angel's baptism!
She was AMAZING the entire mass, only falling asleep a couple short bouts, not crying at all, and looking very alert at Father D every time he talked during the baptism. People even commented to us after mass about how good and alert she was. That's our little girl!! :-)
We tried to take pictures of just her in her dress when we got home, but she had been perfect for too long, and it was past her feeding time. This was the best we could do. Ha!
After mass, we had a fantastic brunch at the house. Dad and Keith made a lot of food, Deb brought some, and (if you can believe it) I baked!!!! The things I do for my little girl. ;-) I also made a fruit display to look like a huge Lily. It was so-so...
After brunch, we had a surprise visit from Lily's new (second) cousin! Laura dropped by all the way from Lexington with little Harper who is two months older than Lily. They were so stinkin cute together! Can you tell that there is a football game on the TV to the right? LOL! Focus, babies!! Hahaha...
Lily had such an exciting day, and I think she is going to inherit my love of spending lots of time with family.
So much so that she is all tuckered-out at the end of the day. Ha! What a cute little blessed girl. Love her!
