I can't believe the little bug is almost half a year old! This six-month mark has really snuck up on us because February is so short! If she was born on the 31st, what does that mean for her six-month birthday??? I'm too type-A; this hurts my head. Why couldn't she have waited 2 hours to be born on a "1st" of the month? At least you only measure them in "months" for a short time. She, of course, is changing noticeably each and every day, from new faces, to new sounds, to being able to roll over to the left and right; every day is so exciting!

This dry winter air has been doing a number on Lily's skin. We thought she had a wicked case of cradle cap, but the pediatrician finally gave in and had us go to a dermatologist. Turns out (surprise, surprise) that she had full blown eczema on every square inch of her body except for her hands and feet. My po' baby girl. After a couple trips to the dermatologist, daily baths, and lots and lots of ointment, we've got it under control, but we have to keep up that regimen. Papa Steve has been really great to go with me to those appointments because he watches her so much; it's also really nice having a second set of ears while Steven's at work.
The first weekend in February, we took a day trip up to the in-laws for Steven to help his dad work on a business that he is opening, while Lily and I hung around the house and gabbed with the girls all day. :-) Grandpa could only work so long at the shop, though, knowing that little Lily was at the house just waiting to be played with!
Lily bug and I had a play date downtown with Papa Steve last week! It was her first outing downtown, and she had a blast! The cold and wind wasn't going to stop her... We started with a super delicious lunch at Chef Joseph's,
walked through a small gallery at the Conrad,
went to the National Geographic photography of the West exhibit at the Eiteljorg,
This Saturday, all the Curtis gals (minus the wee Curtis gals...) met up for a girls' day in the Village of Zionsville. Jennifer just moved in to a gorgeous apartment there, so we spent the day exploring the shops and sites of historic Zionsville, while Lily spent the day with her daddy. It was beautiful, yet bone-chillingly cold! Good thing we were walking to keep ourselves warm! We had a fantastic time walking the brick streets, browsing the boutiques, and dining at the Friendly. Deb, Kristin, and Jennifer came to our place that evening for dinner and to visit with the little bug, of course. :-) Such a fun day!
Steven is currently on a four-day weekend for President's Day and a flex day, and Lily is getting spoiled rotten having him at home...as is mommy. Can't wait till summer! It, like all of her milestones, will be here before we know it!
