Even MORE February fun!!

February has been such an exciting month!  So exciting, even, that I've had to write multiple blogs for it!  A couple weekends ago, Steven and I had the honor of being Dad's guests to the annual fundraiser for Dance Kaleidoscope.
The event was titled La Vie en Rose, and it was pretty much the most fun I've had in a very long time...since Lily was born anyway!  The night started with a silent auction (very high tech -- bidding was done via a phone app), followed by a few numbers performed by the DK troupe, and finished with dinner and dancing.  It was a fantastic evening of great food, conversation, and dancing.  And more dancing.  And a little more dancing.  And I'm not ashamed to admit that my three escorts had left me alone on the dance floor by the end.  This momma likes to shake it!!

Thanks again to Dad for such a wonderful evening!

Steph and her youngest sister stayed with us last weekend, and we started the weekend off right with a little Wine and Canvas!  After the last piece we painted at W&C, this one was a piece of cake!  I almost had time to twiddle my thumbs, but I'm such a perfectionist that I never quite found "down time" during the evening.

Fin! ...sort of.  I ended up making the blue moon a little more green...

Success!

We spent all day Saturday having a Twilight Saga movie marathon after the release of the last installment on blu-ray.  Twilight + Good Company + Wine = Great Day!

Can you believe our little bug is already six months old???  We've been told a thousand times how time will fly by, and it is so true!  It seems like the little girl was just learning to roll over, and now she is sitting up perfectly!

She started sitting up when she was about 5 months 3 weeks, and by the time she went in for her six month pictures, she was sitting perfectly.  We couldn't believe it!

She did a nice job, again, with the vaccines at her six month pediatrician appointment, even though she was wrought with hunger and exhaustion by the time she got them.  The doctor said he was very pleased with her social interactions, how well she sits, and her advanced speech development.  It's a good thing that she is smart and capable because she is definitely a Curtis, coming in at the 17th percentile for length.  Booyah!  Haha.  She is 15 lbs 5 oz and 24.75 inches long.  Whatever her numbers are, the result is still the same:  Precious!  We sure love our little girl and can't wait to see more of her personality come out!
