New art

After nearly five days of being bed-ridden, I decided that I wanted to do something productive and finally sat down and created my latest art piece, which has been in the mental works for nearly a year. I have been wanting to design something special to Steven and I, while still abstract, and would be displayed with other bright colors in the loft.

I settled on green, purple, and orange a very long time ago, but I couldn't even decide what form of media I wanted to use. (I threw around painted wood wall art ideas for the longest time!) One day, I was feeling very inspired by Kandinsky and knew that I wanted to use colorful circles, and eventually I settled on how I wanted the design to work out.

There are 6 green circles, 14 purple circles, and 8 orange circles to represent our anniversary 6-14-08. They didn't turn out exactly as planned because I had some issues with the paint, but I'm pretty pleased with them. The more I see them, the more I enjoy them!

I made them on Mother's Day, and I felt that I was honoring my Mom doing something that she loved since I don't get to see her...
