Since it was very rainy in the morning, Steven took the opportunity to visit the laundromat across the street and get us all caught up and clean! It was our first time not doing the laundry in the room, but due to our recent, rapid travels, it was a must!
We took a quick train from Florence to Pisa for a day trip, and it was all very easy. After a simple ten-minute walk straight out of the station in Pisa, we enjoyed a lunch on the lawn, observing the infamous tower, and its lesser-known sister, the basilica. It was perfect weather!
Adding onto the traditional checklist, we had to take some fun pictures with tower! We were able to sneak in a few between the whistle-blowing of the police officers.
After our beautiful lunch of sandwiches, Pringles, and boxed wine, and our exhaustive police-dodging, we were ready to relax for a few before heading back to Florence.
During the evening, we had a lovely dinner in one of the lit plazas, and of course lots and lots of gelato! Tomorrow will be our long-awaited visit to Florence!
